South Shore of the Alpsee

Highlight • Lake

It is impressive when you can see the two castles from the lower end of the lake when the visibility is good.
Dog owners should remember that there are gratings at the lower end of the lake to overflow and they cannot be bypassed, so the dog should be able to or he must be carried.

That was a really great hike. The Alpsee is an indescribably beautiful lake 😍
And always the view of the royal palaces offers a great backdrop.

This time there is the data from my watch. Speed was 4.5 km/h and pure walking time 2 hours 14 minutes.
We parked at Schwansee and walked to Alpsee. A very nice round, the color of the lake just gigantic. I can only recommend the tour, but you should be aware that you are not alone there. When the weather …

Very nice loop around the Alpsee, but sometimes very stony, steep and rocky - not for strollers and wheelchairs! Sturdy shoes are definitely advisable, there is only a "walking path" on the left side

... first a little shopping in Füssen and then a color-changing tour around the fascinating Alpsee 🤗

Beautiful paths through the. Forest along the lake, with. Roots and rocks.

We had planned to visit Neuschwanstein Castle. But by midday, all the tickets for today were sold out...🤦

I recommend starting the hike from the museum to the right - i.e. counterclockwise. So you have the most intense climb right at the beginning and quickly warm up. In this direction you have the best views almost constantly in front of your eyes.
