Here, you get lovely views over the grand, 18th-century Ardvorlich House to Loch Earn. The path ascends beside the Ardvorlich Burn, which tumbles down towards the loch, a scene of typical Highland beauty. This path is also the popular route up to the Munros of Ben Vorlich and Stùc a' Chroin.

Ben Vorlich Summit

Highlight • Summit

Ben Vorlich is a popular Munro that's usually accessed from Loch Earn. The main reasons for its popularity are its proximity to the Central Belt and the views it gives you across the Southern Highlands. It is often linked with neighbouring Stùc a' Chroin, a route that inolves some tricky scrambling.

Too stormy to reach the summit. Otherwise it wouldn't be a problem.

Ben Vorlich (985m)

We hiked this munro on Saturday 11th September 2021.
We had intended to include Stuc a' Chroin on this route, but Mother Nature had other plans as the visibility above 700m was very poor.
