Cleveland Way Bridleway – Osmotherley to Sutton Bank

Highlight • Cycleway

The Cleveland Way is a long distance hiking trail stretching from Helmsley and ending in Filey, circling the North York Moors National Park (komoot.com/collection/888432/hike-empty-hills-majestic-moors-and-golden-coast-cleveland-way).

In some sections you can ride along the way too, like here where it's on a bridleway. While this section is fairly wide, take care on busier summer days when there are plenty of walkers, horse riders and other cyclists on the Cleveland Way.

High Paradise Farm Tearoom

Highlight • Cafe

High Paradise Farm is a traditional 16th century hill farm that’s diversified. They have a great little tearoom as well as camping, self-catering accommodation, and an event or wedding venue.

The tearoom serves hot and cold food and snacks, they use the produce from the farm and local suppliers and cook or bake everything on site.

Tearoom open seasonally, in the winter they are open at the weekend 10:00 - 16:00.

Just after going through the gate past Boltby Woods on the Paradise Trail, when you head out onto Little Moor, look to your left and you'll find a bombhole. There's a small rock drop that's rollable as you head into the bowl, though smooth on the way out. Really good fun for sessioning!

Sunken Track in North York Moors

Highlight • Viewpoint

This point seems to be elevated more so on this trail. You go througha gate into a field and the track becomes partly submerged. You have to be careful as your pedals could easily catch the sides of the hollow track and throw you on the bike

Gallow Hill Descent

Highlight • Viewpoint

Brilliant descent across open moorland, especially fantastic in August when the purple heather is in bloom.

After passing through the top gate and turning left, a short pedal leads you to the descent proper; rutted, rough and ruddy wonderful!

It gets pretty gravelly in the middle, be aware!

Great views and a great ride but as you come to the last part after hill end farm turn right and follow the road because if you follow the navigation from the app it takes you on a bridlepath that is unridable and dangerous but other than that it's a great ride 👍🏻
It's when you see the sign for Osmotherley 4.3/4 mile follow the sign not the app
