The time has finally come for the beautiful wild orchid, the lady's slipper, to bloom again. So today we went to the Burgberg to see the enchanting lady's slipper blossom 🌾💛 It's truly something special, with its yellow slipper flowers. It's the largest lady's slipper population in Northern Germany!

It was a lovely hike in the bright sunshine 🌞

Today's hike took us to the Burgberg near Lobach/Bevern. There we started from the hiking car park on beautiful, well-signposted hiking trails. We were accompanied for a long stretch by sweet 🫏🫏🫏.
The highlight of the route was the orchid meadow on the slope, where we were able to admire the lady's slipper and a few other orchids.

Have jetted past the hiking car park so often, today for the first time consciously headed for it.
A nice tour with slight climbs, branching off to the castle ruins (not really much to see, more likely to be guessed at), Frauenschuhwiese (out of season, the circular route is therefore quite overgrown - we love it!) and a few views.
