Rolling Hills Walk in Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri

Highlight • Trail

A wonderful place to have a quick hike. If you're local it's easy to get to, and quiet enough not to feel bothered by masses of people. Just on the edge of Snowdonia national park.

Wild ponies roam free on the route up to Tal Y Fan. If you’re lucky enough you’ll see some on your journey

Tal y Fan summit

Highlight • Viewpoint

At 610m Tal y Fan is the northern most outlier of the Carneddau mountains. The trig point on top gives wonderful views into Snowdonia National Park or north and out to sea. It's a great little mountain, off the beaten track and with a wild feeling.

Llyn y Wrach Stone Circle

Highlight • Historical Site

It is a large ring of stones, approximately 12 meters in diameter, with walls about 1.5 meters wide. It features large flat upright stones (orthostats) and an entrance at the south-west. The stones on the east side may be partially buried due to soil slippage. It has a "double skin" of large stones laid on edge, with cairn material filling the space between the inner and outer rings.
Location: It is located in Conwy, Wales, specifically near a body of water also called Llyn y Wrach, which translates to "the Lake of the Witch." It's a short walk from the Hafodty stone circle.
