Belvedere Viewpoint and Hotel

The viewing point is about 160 meters above the Elbe and offers a view of the Elbe valley. Directly opposite is the small town of Dolní Žleb (Niedergrund) in the deeply cut Elbe valley. Further upstream you can see Čertova Voda (Tschirte) and Podskalí (Rasseln). The many rocks opposite have interesting names, as you can see from the information board. The car park is free of charge and can be used as a starting point for several beautiful hikes.

Today's church was built in 1757/1758 in place of an older church. All that remains of this is an impressive baroque tombstone, which can be found today on the southern wall of the church. In 1906 the church burned down because people forgot to put out the candles. It was restored in 1907, but almost nothing could be saved from the baroque interior. She was overhauled in 1959 but is not in good condition today.

There are some very old graves in the cemetery surrounding the church.

The upper section of the Kamnitzklamm is currently only recommended for very fit hikers. The path is blocked by all kinds of dead wood and windbreaks, which at the moment is more like a climbing trip
