We took the route for today's tour from local brochures. So, for a change, we cycled through open, hilly countryside on the edge of the Rhine Valley. In the distance, we could often see the northern Black Forest.

The back roads were mostly quiet, and the villages were well-kept, with many half-timbered houses.

On the way to the Palatinate cycled the orchard meadows and monuments cycle tour. All in all a nice tour, which unfortunately is not signposted. Luckily we had downloaded the tour on komoot. The tour runs mainly on asphalt and often on small roads with little traffic.
