One of the few drawbridges in Brandenburg is in Altfriesack. In addition to a lock, it spans the Rhin, which has been developed into a canal. The waterway that connects Oranienburg with Neuruppin emerged from the reign of Friedrich Wilhelm II of Prussia, the successor of Friedrich the Great, and made a significant contribution to the economic boom in the state of Ruppin.

A nice meeting place for residents, guests, cyclists, joggers or anglers. Here on the promenade of Neuruppin you can relax, entertain, take a souvenir photo or look for a café to strengthen you. Just a nice place.

Very nice tour through a beautiful landscape on the trail of Fontane's "Hike through the Mark Brandenburg". Good cycle paths and little traffic.

May 1st, we both have the day off, the weather is great, so let's get out into nature!

And today we drove to Wustrau, and then cycled almost all the way around Lake Ruppin. Strictly speaking, it was a figure 8. We used the lake dam as a turnaround loop.

It was wonderful, almost summery.

A beautiful circular route around the Ruppiner See. This is mostly in sight. However, you only drive a few kilometers directly on the lake (Neuruppiner Stadtpark). But it makes up for the beautiful, always easy to drive route through lots of nature and small towns.

A little later we …
