Rocky Path Through Stone Formations

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Very nice path through wild rock formations. However, the path is not easy to find in some places ... pay attention to the cairns that point the way!

The mountainous area around the sanctuary of Lluc is one of the most beautiful regions in Mallorca. Silent holm oak forests spread out between rugged rocky mountains, and in between you can find bizarre karst formations, but also picnic and viewing areas.

Great hiking trail. Mallorca from many great sides. Sturdy walking shoes are a must as there are a lot of rocks.

The starting point of the hike is worth seeing, a large pilgrim hostel with a hotel feel on a site reminiscent of an old monastery with a varied and lovingly landscaped botanical garden. There are a few restaurants next to a large car park.
The trail follows old paths past bizarre rock formations and holm oaks. There are always secluded …

Nice, quite lonely tour that can be combined with a visit to the “monastery”.

Showing Translation

I did the tour according to the Rother hiking guide in the opposite direction - I like it much better. That way you have the serviced refuge at the end for a rest.

What a fantastic tour! The start was at the Lluc monastery (don't park here! It costs €8, rather look for a free spot in the parking lots on the MA10).
First we went up rocky steps to a mountain inn, which the GR 221 long-distance hiking trail also passed. The route runs along this hiking trail for a long time. …

From the Lluc monastery via Son Amer, the path goes through a beautiful holm oak forest. The way back through the enchanted stone forest is impressive. A beautiful hike despite the strong wind and fog.

Beautiful hike on easy paths 👍🥾
Crazy rock formations everywhere. A few beautiful views. Then a short stop at the Lluc monastery😉 Thank God, because the heavens opened their gates for a moment 😅
