The adjacent castle park and the zoo are a not-too-extensive, relaxing area with many aspects worth exploring. The Westphalian Regional Association has designated very attractive hiking trails with impressively maintained rest areas, the Ortswege V1-3. However, the documentation on the local and regional websites is apparently not yet complete.
