Königsbrünnchen (Frankfurt City Forest)

Highlight • Natural Monument

A beautifully landscaped spring with seating. Ideal for a refreshing break on a hike. The iron- and sulfur-rich water is drinkable, but not to everyone's taste.

We really enjoyed this hike through the Frankfurt city forest. Due to the 🌞 there were great reflections on the lakes again. And at the Maunzenweiher we saw teals and a little grebe, among other things. I didn't know teals before, I probably always thought they were "degenerate" mandarin ducks.
Learned something again!
And I will definitely repeat the route.

I copied today's tour yesterday at Adelheid vdL and changed it in a few places:
komoot.de/tour/982129644. Thanks for the nice template.
We started at the Waldpark Tannenwald car park and off we went in the direction of the Jacobiweiher, via the Försterwiesenweiher and the Kesselbruchweiher. Unfortunately, the Scherbelino pond, which is a little off the path, is completely fenced off. …
