Lake Seeburg

Highlight • Lake

A beautiful sunset across the lake is best seen from the east side of the lake. This can also be the aforementioned berth of the sailing club. When the sun rises over the lake, however, the viewer should be on the west side. ;-)

The Seeburger See-Rundweg is a classic among the walking and promenade paths between Göttingen and Duderstadt. It's a bit crowded here on Sundays and public holidays. There are good parking possibilities, namely here in this parking lot and also at the entrance to "Graf Isang". The lake tour itself offers a lot in addition to the atmosphere. There are benches but also two places to stop for a break. There is a playground for children. The places Bernshausen, Germershausen and Seeburg are ideal for a detour. Two other wetlands with their own character are the Lutteranger in the north (former peat extraction) and the north-western Seeanger. Not only ornithologists get their money's worth here.

A short, but this time a bit more challenging, loop around Lake Seeburg. The reeds and meadow landscape create a real lakeside feeling. At the end of the loop, you can relax in one of the restaurants and enjoy the breeze.

On New Year's Day, the swim in Lake Seeburg traditionally takes place.
We didn't want to miss it this year.
We first did a half lap around the lake before watching the spectacle. 73 brave souls plunged into the ice-cold water and swam a lap of honor.
Brrr, I'm having a heart attack just thinking about it.
Wimps 🤣🤣🤣!

First to the veterinary clinic and then to make amends for the Seeburger See .... 🤣 ♥ Didn't know this round, but I am pleasantly surprised. It's just a shame that you can never get to the lake and the part of the bike path by the road wasn't that great either .... 🤣 But that's probably complaining at a …

Never seen them like this before. Flying in a flock wasn't easy. It looked like they were practicing a choreography. Unfortunately, it's hard to capture on camera. But you have to see it to be believed.
