View of the Allerheiligen monastery ruins

Highlight • Historical Site

This viewpoint offers an impressive view of the historic monastery ruins of Allerheiligen, which lies picturesquely in a wooded high valley of the Black Forest. From here, one can particularly well recognize the striking remains of the former monastery complex, whose open arches and walls blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.

The so-called Wattenstein viewpoint, a beautiful resting place. There are benches on a raised rock with a good view.

Allerheiligen Waterfalls

Highlight • Waterfall

You can watch and enjoy the impressive spectacle of the waterfalls over a length of about one kilometer via many stairs.

The waterfalls cascade over several stages through narrow, wooded gorges, characterized by moss-covered rocks, fallen giant trees, and dense undergrowth. The interplay of steep rock faces, clear watercourses, and natural forest development provides a rare glimpse of what the Black Forest would look like without forestry use.

All Saints Waterfalls

Highlight • Waterfall

I recommend hiking the All Saints Falls from the bottom to the top; they look more spectacular this way, as you always have the falls in front of you. They are particularly impressive in spring and after prolonged rains; after extended dry periods, they are far less beautiful. In winter, the path, if passable at all, is often icy and not without danger. In summer, it is pleasantly cool here.

Baroque garden

Highlight • Historical Site

The grounds of the Allerheiligen Monastery ruins also include a baroque garden with an ornamental pond, located directly on the Lierbach stream. A small museum is housed in one of the monastery buildings, the former servants' quarters. It is freely accessible and admission is free. There, you can see a diagram and a model of the monastery complex.

All Saints' Abbey ruins

Highlight • Historical Site

The remains of the monastery church form the most impressive part of the monastery ruins. Its cross-shaped floor plan is clearly visible in the still-standing walls, which display architectural styles ranging from late Romanesque to late Gothic.

We started the tour at the entrance to the "All Saints Waterfalls". Beautiful and well-kept paths and stairs led us up the rushing water.
We continued towards All Saints, where we visited the memorial and the monastery ruins.
After crossing the road, we continued on wide, paved paths to the Angel's Pulpit, from which you have a very beautiful view. …

Inspired by Rosy, we ran the Allerheiligen waterfalls again today with a section that we didn't know before.
Always a nice hiking destination.
The waterfalls were not overcrowded today, which is probably due to the mixed weather.
