Village Church of Gnevkow

The village church of Gnevkow was built on a small hill in the 15th century. Components of the presumably late Gothic predecessor building were used in the construction. The east gable of the hall church is made of brick and is divided with screens. The west gable, renewed in the 18th century, is undecorated. Due to a lack of care, a leaky roof caused moisture damage to the roof and ceiling construction of the church. There were severe cracks in the masonry.
After a foundation renovation was carried out in 1999, the repair of the masonry and the roof renovation could take place from 2001. The German Foundation for Monument Protection helped with this with financial resources. By the summer of 2003, the chapel, which had already been closed by the building authorities, was completely secured and repaired.
