Like the day before, we were among the first in the breakfast room again this morning. Today it was not the bus connection that was to blame, but the weather report. We didn't need a bus, as the hike started right at the hotel, but the risk of thunderstorms had been announced for the rest of the day.

Arriving by train worked well, even if it took three hours. There is currently little snow on the Great Osser. But it is very icy in places. That's why hiking poles and hiking boots with non-slip soles are an advantage 😉. Especially when crossing the rock bar at the Osserschutzhaus.

In winter, spikes on your shoes are extremely helpful! There are very steep, snowy and icy sections. Due to time constraints, we only went to the small Osser and just below the summit of the large Osser, because the tour took considerably longer than the tour I had chosen as a template!

2 km to a very usual chapel and then 2 km back to the parking lot, it's worth 0.
