Göta Canal Day 1: Cycled from Hajstorp to Sjötorp, the beginning/end of the Göta Canal, which, according to information material, is Europe's best cycle route in 2025. Always nice and flat, we cycled comfortably on old, gravel and paved towpaths, car-free along the canal and past the locks.

We took a tip from a dad at the park, drove over to Sjötorp, found rental bikes with a baby trailer, and hopped on the Göta Kanal bike path. Had the best time biking to Toreboda for lunch then turning around and doing it all in reverse. Only regret was not packing swimsuits and towels to take advantage of all …
