Dechrau a Diwed (Welsh for ‘beginning and end’) is a statue that marks the northern end of the Offa’s Dyke National Trail. Dubbed the ‘Polo Mint’ by locals, the design was inspired by King Offa and the trail, which finishes in Prestatyn. It was unveiled in 2013. Of course, if you have just completed the trail, the real finish line is a boot-less paddle in the sea.

North Wales Coast Path Promenade

Highlight • Viewpoint

A lovely stretch of traffic-free riding along the North Wales Coast. With waves crashing onto the beach on one side and colourful seafront promenades on the other, this is perfect riding. You'll find plenty of ice cream en route too.

Coastal Walkway and Sea Barriers

Highlight • Structure

The concrete slabs look quite new, at a guess the flood barrier work here looks as though it has been recently undertaken. There are staithes on the beaches in many locations along the coast
