Cremyll Ferry

Highlight • Bridge

The Stonehouse (Plymouth) to Cremyll ferry allows access to this beautiful peninsula from the city without the long drive around the estuary. Walking around Mount Edgecombe Country Park and the coast path to Kingsand is wonderful.

The ferry takes about 10 minutes, costs £2.50 per adult (Summer 2023) and sales regularly.

Commissioned in the mid 19th-century by Lord Palmerston, Foreign Secretary and then Prime Minister under Queen Victoria, Fort Picklecombe was one of a series of coastal forts built in defence of potential large scale enemy invasion by sea, particularly from France. Now holiday cottages.

August 3, 2024,Plymouth to Cawsand. A walk, ferry & bus explore.

This was a lovely walk from Stoke Damerel Park and up to The People's Park, Devonport.A lovely space itself,with a playground in the woods, cafe & rose garden.
We then walked down to the Stonehouse passenger ferry via a coffee & loo stop at VOT.
Ferry is a couple of quid-pay when you get off. So worth it as you …
