A beautiful round, but the summit was hidden in the clouds. This meant that it was very damp and you couldn't enjoy the view. But further down you could still see the sea.

Fóia is a 902 m high mountain in Portugal west of Monchique. The mountain, which is part of the Serra de Monchique, is the highest point in the Algarve and thus in southern Portugal.

The monastery was destroyed by the Lisbon earthquake in 1755.
