Fort Roncia, which takes its name from the massif that overlooks it, was built between 1877 and 1880 practically in the same period (and with the same armaments) as the nearby forts Variselle and Cassa. The Roncia had two levels of fire, the lower one reserved for riflemen, while the upper one used cannons and machine guns. The access, still today takes place through a passage (originally there was a drawbridge) which after the external moat leads to the internal courtyard, from which you can go up to the upper floor where an exhibition is currently set up that tells the story of the fort. .
