Babad Do'ag Viewpoint

Highlight • Viewpoint

Have you ever heard of the Lemmon Drop? Well, it is very common to take a shuttle to the start of the Lemmon Drop (or anywhere along the Lemmon Drop for that matter) with Home Grown MTB Tours. But, some of us don't want to shuttle and just want to ride an entire loop. If you do want to ride the loop, this is the place to park your car. Let's start your 55+ miles adventure with well over 10.000 ft. of climbing (and descending). The climb is on the main road (so mostly asphalt).

Do you rather shuttle? Here's the link to Home Grown: homegrownmtb.com

66.1 km

The Tanque Verde Wash/Sabino Canyon Important Bird Area (IBA) spans two connected regions: the rugged Sabino Canyon and the more open Tanque Verde Wash. It is known for its rich bird diversity, including several priority species. Primarily functioning as a natural stormwater drainage, this area is mostly dry except during the monsoon season. It's a popular birdwatching spot, attracting various species like towhees, sparrows, woodpeckers, warblers, and goldfinches, along with rare sightings of the Gray Catbird and Rufous-backed Robin.

Pantano River Park

Highlight • Trail

The Pantano River Park is right on the Pantano Wash. This small, but pretty park in Tucson is a great place to start or end your ride along the Chuck Huckleberry Loop Trail because there is a fairly large parking lot right off the trail.

Thanks Tucson, its been real! Due to this being an *extra* special one, I stopped at Le Buzz for coffee before the ride and after. Instead of packing my bike, which I only finished doing at midnight 😜
