Zwiesel Summit

Highlight • Summit

From the summit of the Zwiesel you have a perfect view over the Alpine foothills. Lakes, mountains and green forests stretch out endlessly. Once at the top, the summit presents itself with an English lawn on a round hill. Lay in the meadow, cross your arms behind your head and enjoy the sun.

Blomberg East Summit (1,237 m)

Highlight • Summit

Not far from the mountain station of the cable car there is a wonderful viewpoint on the wide gravel path. The peaks of the Bavarian Oberland and the Alps rise above the tree tops.

Blomberg Cross

Highlight • Viewpoint

The wooden cross lies in the saddle between the Blomberg (1,248 meters) and the Heiglkopf (1,218 meters). From up here you have a fantastic view over the Tölzer Land. Reason enough to take a short break and let your eyes wander.

Shot a nice Sunday round today in great weather.
Actually, I always give the Blomberg area a wide berth because it's usually completely overcrowded.
But we copied this tour from Flo... 😉 And somehow it looked very inviting, also with the prospect of a good break at the Blomberghaus inn. 😊 Thanks for the idea Flo.💡

Beautiful circular tour that is not too difficult, starting at the Waldherralp.
There are a lot of parking spaces there, but they are all occupied at lunchtime on weekends.
If you count the Heigelkopf at 1218m, then I was on three mountain peaks today:
Heigelkopf, Blomberg and Zwiesel. But today I met a hiker who didn't talk about mountains but …

Three peak tour! Sounds fantastic, doesn't it? Unfortunately, I cheated a bit: after the Zwiesel with its colossal 1348m, there is no more climb worth mentioning. But about the tour: the Zwiesel is certainly not an alpine highlight. It's somewhere between a hill and a mountain. Grassy and wooded. BUT: (1) the approach is short. (2) When the first snow …

Hadn't expected so much sun today, so a real stroke of luck that the Blomberg-Zwiesel group was just above the high fog 😎😀 From Bad Tölz it was foggy and cloudy again.

A short hike and not far to drive... the Blomberg and its neighboring peaks are always a good choice. That's why I was happy to say yes to Eva when she suggested the group.
We were a bit disappointed when we arrived because we were actually hoping for sun. But afterwards it tore it up quite well, while further in …

Always a great tour with beautiful views of the mountains and the foothills of the Alps.

Parking at the trailhead costs €3. It was already very full by the end of the hike around noon.

Currently, some sections are icy. Some sections are muddy, and others are normal. It's manageable with poles and crampons, but the constantly changing conditions are a bit annoying.

After the start in the cold fog, it was still quite nice further up and you could enjoy the great light and fog atmosphere.
