Schrammsteinweg Trail

Highlight • Trail

The Schrammsteinweg is a great hiking trail, but very busy at peak times. It leads from the Schrammsteintor to the Wildschützensteig ascent (one-way street only up) or Jägersteig (up to the ridge path).

Well, the Schrammsteine, which are well worth seeing, start at the Falkenstein junction. But yes, the rocks down here also belong to the Schrammstein area.

Nice view, yes. But not to Bad Schandau. From here you look more towards the Schrammstein chain and Falkenstein.

You definitely can't go to the Schrammsteine with a dog that you can't put in a bag. You can't bypass the ladders. But you could walk around it through the forest, the only thing missing is the beautiful view. There are also a lot of people up there. Otherwise a very nice tour!

Another hike in Saxon Switzerland. A visit to the Schrammstein view is always worth it, even if there are a lot of hikers out and about at the moment because of Unity Day and the autumn holidays.

What a great start to my trip—off to the Schrammsteine 🥰 I quickly changed my shoes immediately after arriving and used the last three hours of the day to get the car ride out of my legs. There are enough stairs, but I still wanted to do the Jägersteig twice in between 🤪💪
Looking forward to the coming days 🎊☺️

The tour was completed without the Komoot app running, so there are no actual times. We were very relaxed and with a lot of breaks for views within the framework of 6 hours.

But I doubt whether the height difference is correct. More like 500.

early, not much going on, no traffic jams at the ladders, wonderful views, shady route with a wonderful relaxed finish in the Falkenstein hut

Today we went on a hike to the Schrammsteine. The Schrammsteine are a long, heavily jagged rock formation in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Since Xara was still completely tired from yesterday's hike, we left her in the vacation apartment, which worked out great; she's used to being alone at home. I could have called the hike "Tour of the 1,000 …

A highly recommended tour. Sometimes you're shocked by the tourists you encounter who think they can walk this trail in summer shoes. The route has very steep ladders in places and stairs through narrow crevices. Depending on the time of year, the path can be damp or even wet in places.

Sturdy footwear is a must.
