Eden Park

Highlight • Structure

Eden Park is one of the most popular parks in Cincinnati, and features several walking paths along with lakes, gazebos, and a couple of beautiful overlooks across the Ohio River Valley.

This historic standpipe, or water tower, has been standing since the late 19th century. Standing at 172 feet in height, it towers over Eden Park and was built to supply the area with water from the Ohio River.

Mirror Lake

Beautiful lake with a large fountain in the middle which jets water 60 feet up in the air. Located next to the lake is the Spring House Gazebo, where you might hear bands playing during the summer months.

Cincinnati Flying Pig Statues

Highlight • Monument

Scattered across the city of Cincinnati you will find artfully decorated pig statues. These statues were first created in 2000 by local artists and schools in order to celebrate the history of the city as the pork capital of the US. At one time there had been over 400 different statues on display, but today only a handful still exist outside of private collections. One of the best examples can be found near Sawyer Point and is named "Lucius Quinctus Pigasus".

This public landing is along the Ohio River Trail is a nice spot to stop for a quick dip or to just enjoy the views over the water. It is also near the National Steamboat Monument and the Great American Ball Park.

Purple People Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

The Purple People Bridge is a pedestrian and cycling only bridge crossing the Ohio River between downtown Cincinnati, Ohio and Newport, Kentucky. The bridge was Cincinnati's first ever railway bridge when it opened in 1872. The purple colour was chosen by a public vote in 2001 when the construction plans were still underway.

Kroger Hills

Kroger Hills is a 217 acre nature preserve south of the Wooster Pike. There is old-growth forest, a restored prairie and 80 acres of grassland, and the Miami River flowing through it. There isn't any public parking or facilities, including bathrooms, available, and there aren't really any trails for cycling through the woods and grasslands, but you can ride on the outskirts of it along the Little Miami Scenic Trail and enjoy its beauty from there
