Church of the Madonna of the Angels

Highlight • Religious Site

A small chapel at a crossroads, in the classic neoclassical style of the Piedmont countryside. Easy to reach, it is located on the road that leads to the hamlet of Verna and then to Colletta di Cumiana from above, not far from the town center. It is worth paying attention to, or, if you pass through the center, making a small detour.

Scenic Rock with Shelter

Highlight • Natural Monument

A large pair of boulders, likely part of the rock massif itself and not erratic, are quite spectacular in their own right, offering a beautiful view of the valley below. Behind the boulders (on the side opposite the road) is a small dry-stone shelter, which can be useful in bad weather. They're located right on the roadside, so you can't miss them!

Colletta di Cumiana

Highlight • Mountain Pass

The Cumiana pass, located at an altitude of 621 metres, connects the Chisola valley to the Sangone valley. The Colletta provincial road connects the towns of Giaveno and Cumiana. During the Second World War near the Cumiana collection there were various battles between partisans and Nazis. Near the pass there is the Colletta chapel.

Historic Center of Cumiana

Highlight • Settlement

Beautiful mountain country. The main point of interest are the two opposing churches at the highest point: Church of Santa Maria della Motta, and Confraternity of Saints Rocco and Sebastian. You can get there via a staircase with a bit of portage, or from a road that passes behind. From the square separating the churches, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. Also very beautiful are the covered space for the market, the town hall, and the park below (with a monument to the fallen). Water point with SMAT hut next to the town hall. A beautiful destination for a trip, a nice spot for a break.
