Horse Hill Bike Path

Paved bike trail along the Highway 101 corridor, lowest crossing of Horse Hill between Mill Valley and Corte Madera

10.3 km

Starting as a wooden boardwalk branching off from the Sausalito-Mill Valley Bike Trail, the Charles F McGlashan Pathway crosses the busy Hwy 1 and then parallels Tennessee Valley Road

Tennessee Valley Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Tennessee Valley Trail is a wide multi-use path flanked by horse pastures, starting on sandy gravel at Tennessee Beach and turning into a paved road where the picnic area (a former farm) spur merges in, toward the trailhead parking area at the Miwok horse riding stables. Here bikers can either turn north or south on Miwok Trail, south on Marincello Trail, or simply continue straight on the road to Sausalito.

18.5 km

Coyote Ridge Summit

Highlight • Summit

This little knoll is the apex of Coyote Ridge, with excellent surround views up and down the Marin Headlands – offering glimpses of the San Francisco skyline –, and west to the Pacific.

Coyote Ridge Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The main Coyote Ridge fire road trail runs down the main ridge line. Here, two trails climb up from Green Gulch in the west and cross over into one to the east.

Tip by

19.1 km

Middle Green Gulch can be only used for uphill biking (and hiking either direction), not biking downhill! It arrives here at Coyote Ridge Trail just some 15 yards south of Green Gulch trail, which can be used to go downhill instead. Coyote Ridge is a wide gravel fire road, sloping down toward the coast.
