Ozzy the Bull, Birmingham New Street Station

Highlight • Structure

Ozzy the Bull is named after the frontman of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, who comes from Birmingham. Ozzy is approx. 10m high and can, for example, move his head and make his eyes light up.
Originally the star of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, it now stands as an attraction in Birmingham Central Station.

The Lovely People Sculpture

Highlight • Monument

The Lovely People, designed by acclaimed spray artist Temper (Arron Bird), were installed in The Cube in 2010 to emanate a quirky, positive nature. Whilst a much-loved photo opportunity within the building, the inspirational stories behind each sculpture are unknown to many of the guests.

Somerset Road Canal Access Steps

Highlight • Cycleway

There is no ramp at this entrance to the canal, just a winding staircase. We had to carry bikes up here due to canal closure and works being done at the University Station which we found very difficult. We would advise getting on/off the canal at University Station or the Vale.
