Surrounded by reeds and marshes, it is an important haven for waterfowl, and its wild shores attract nature lovers. There are cycling routes around the lake, the most popular of which leads from Rowy to Gardna Wielka – suitable for trekking bikes, although it can be sandy in places. It is worth stopping at the observation tower on the route, from where there is a panorama of the lake and the shifting dunes in the distance.
