Trunk of a 350-year-old Scots pine with twisted fibers

Highlight • Natural Monument

This is truly extraordinary. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before. There's a huge lying trunk of a Scots pine tree by the road, which was 350 years old when it was blown over by a strong wind in 1979.

In 1981 it was brought and laid here - especially for you! Look at the characteristically interwoven fibers.

What can you not find!

A forest road intersection in the heart of the Knyszyńska Forest, near the town of Surażkowo, on the green trail, in forest section 188. Looking around carefully, you'll notice numerous, large folk sculptures depicting January Uprising insurgents. The gallery was created to commemorate those who perished. The monuments were designed by Ryszard Bołtowicz.

Footbridge over the Supraśl River. A "nice and fast" gravel road leads to it from Supraśl. You just have to be careful because you don't see pedestrians or other cyclists around the bends. On the northern side of the footbridge we go almost directly to the Krzemienne Góry Mountains. Through it you can quickly and easily get to the insurgents' gallery.
