Badoere-Levada Old Railway Station

Highlight • Historical Site

Old station on Treviso Ostiglia, unfortunately held worse than many others.

The plant was opened on 28 October 1941, together with the Grisignano di Zocco – Treviso section of the Treviso – Ostiglia line.
The station remained in effective operation for a few years. During the Second World War, the building remained under the control of the Wehrmacht, which used it for the transit of its military transports and for the convoys of prisoners. After the destruction suffered during the conflict, the trunk on which the Badoere-Levada station stood was no longer reactivated, therefore in 1945 the plant ceased its functions entirely.
The station was equipped with a two-level, rectangular-shaped passenger building. On the lower floor were the I, II and III class waiting rooms, the movement office and the luggage storage. The upper floor was once reserved for the station master's residence.
The plant was also equipped with a freight yard and a freight warehouse, the roof of which is currently completely absent. The station should have been connected to the neighboring villages by a municipal road, which however was never built due to the outbreak of the conflict.

Perhaps the most comfortable entrance in the district, there is a lot of parking, in the shade of large poplars. If you don't know where to take the cycle route, I recommend from here!

Treviso-Ostiglia Cycle Path

Highlight • Cycleway

Very beautiful cycle path almost entirely surrounded by greenery ... from Treviso to Padua dirt road, then all asphalt ... in Camposampiero due to lack of signs, you may run into some orientation difficulties.
Bring water with you, lots of water ... I only saw 2 fountains along the way, one in the Treviso area and the other at the end of the cycle path built up to now, in the Vicenza area.

Entrance to Storga Park

Highlight • Rest Area

The Storga Park was created through a recovery and environmental arrangement of the former Azienda Agricola Provincia Sant'Artemio, formerly the Ergotherapy Colony of the Psychiatric Hospital of Sant'Artemio.
The project idea takes shape with the preparation of the operational program "Risorgive Storga Program", which in 1991 received the special prize of the Commission of the European Communities for "Best Planning Document". The Risorgive Storga Program provided for the gradual recovery of the area from a naturalistic point of view with environmental restoration interventions, including the construction of a wetland area and the restoration of the paleo-riverbed of the Rio Piavone, the planting of forest formations with indigenous species and to naturalistic address on 49 hectares and the enhancement of the so-called "prai de acqua".

This is a section of cycle path built on the traces of the former Ostiglia-Treviso railway. It is a pleasure to cycle here, away from traffic, enjoying the advantages of this strategic infrastructural conversion. The surface is slightly unpaved, but offers a smooth ride.

This striking iron bridge takes you back to other times, reminding you that you are traveling along an old railway line. As you cross it, with a little imagination you can almost hear the rattling of trains on the tracks.
The bridge also has another advantage: the view of the Sile and its fertile banks. The vegetation here is luxuriant and offers shelter to numerous fauna species.
