For those who normally only drive over bridges, these tunnels in the region are a real highlight. A little change and nice and cool in the summer.

September 30, 2023,Tage 4 und 5: 2Nächte in Brixen, Brixen - Auer: Durch das Eisacktal und die Weinstraße (Kalterer See)
There are good train connections with large wheel wagons from Bolzano to Brixen. The cycle path from Brixen back to Bolzano through the Isarco Valley leads through numerous tunnels - a real adventure for me. The subsequent route across Lake Kaltern leads through beautiful vineyards and is much more varied than the route through the Adige Valley. A fantastic route!

Day 9 was once again very scenic, through the vineyards to Bolzano. A great route 👍🏻 through Bolzano, then along the Eisack River up to Chiusa. It was only the heat that made it so strenuous...there was hardly any shade 🥵but the scenery was beautiful. The campsite is also highly recommended.

Today we cycled from the hotel on Lake Kaltern through the wine and apple orchards to Kaltern. There we cycled twice along the former Überetscherbahn route to Bozen. Right at the beginning of the route at the former train station there is a replica steam locomotive that once puffed up here.

Day 2 was much more relaxed. In the morning it was still pleasantly cool and it was mostly downhill. The cycle path along the Eissack is absolutely stunning. Anyone who came up with the idea of converting the old railway line into a cycle path should receive a medal. Absolutely gorgeous. But the Italians know how to build long-distance cycle …

Today's tour was so great, it would have been a shame if we hadn't done it. Of course, we weren't spared the rain either. From Brixen to Bolzano, we rode on the well-developed "Bähnleradweg" (railway cycle path), accompanied by the Eisack River. It's a wonderful landscape that we cycled through; it's just a shame that the weather didn't cooperate as …

After a weekend stay in Nuremberg, we arrived in Brixen on Sunday evening. We had booked a room on a farm vintlerhof.it on the outskirts of town, as we were allowed to park our car there without any problems until the end of the tour. After a day of rest on Monday, we went on a tour of Brixen on …
