Fountain in the Rosengarten, Bad Kissingen

Highlight • Natural Monument

The rose garden in Bad Kissingen was created for the citizens, whereas the spa garden was formerly reserved for spa guests. Today both parks are open to the public. Walking in the spa garden during the flowering season and breathing in the scent of roses is a real delight. The healing water of the Max spring ripples in the spa garden and concerts of the Stattsbad Philharmonie Kissingen take place almost daily, when the weather is fine outdoors.

Bad Kissingen Rose Garden

Highlight • Structure

This picture shows not the spa garden, not the spa park, but the rose garden. Historically, this beautiful facility was intended to be an urban counterpart to the state spa complex.

Church Ruins at Aura an der Saale

Highlight • Religious Site

One of the oldest building ruins in Germany… to be admired from the outside… a wooden gate prevents you from entering… but you can get a glimpse of the dilapidated walls through the gate inside

Euerdorf Railway Viaduct

Highlight • Bridge

It is impressive how this technical monument stretches across the town and is much more beautiful to look at than today's bridge structures.

April 14, 2024,Garitz Terzenbrunn Wittelsbacher Turm Wirmsthal Euerdorf Garitz
The descent from the Wittelsbacher Tower directly through the forest to Wirmsthal is very steep. It may be better to go back a short distance along the road, use the crossing to the road to Wirmsthal or go back around the landfill to the road to Wirmsthal.
