Today's tour is divided into 5 sections:

Part 1: (by bike)

As there aren't many train stations around the Inselsberg and there's only SEV to Bad Salzungen at the moment, and it was too far for me to Schmalkalden, I chose Sättelstädt. From here I cycled once over the Rennsteig to the Trusetal waterfall.

On the last hot summer day, I sought cooling off in the shade of the forest near Brotterode. I really liked the hiking trail👍. I passed a total of 4 springs on the tour. Unfortunately, most of the springs have very little water because of the current dry phase. It is supposed to rain again soon.

Free parking in front of the Inselbergbad. No refreshment stop, but some very nice rest areas.
