Krähenteich (Crow Pond)

Highlight • Lake

The Krähenteich is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Located on the Old Town Island, it is just a short walk from the shopping streets. You can sit wonderfully in the grass on the bank and let your gaze wander over the towers and old merchant houses.
Young people like to meet on summer evenings to have a barbecue together, play music and enjoy the summer, but the crow pond is always worth a visit outside of summer too.

Klughafen, Lübeck

Highlight • River

The Klughafen extends from the Hubbrücke & Burgtorbrücke in the north to the Hüxtertorbrücke in the south. There are two ships in the Klughafen, which serve as an event location and restaurants. In the center, the "Glitzerbrücke" spans the Klughafen and connects the old town island with the eastern areas (Falkenwiese, multi-storey car park ...).
If the dragon boat races take place, then also here in the Klughafen !!

Riverboat on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal

Highlight • Restaurant

The Elbe-Lübeck Canal (ELK) is a 61.55 km long federal waterway that was inaugurated in 1900 by Kaiser Wilhelm II as the 'Elbe-Trave Canal' - in 1936 it was renamed. The canal has seven locks and is a connection for inland and recreational shipping between the Elbe and the Baltic Sea. The responsibility for the ELK lies with the Waterways and Shipping Authority in Lauenburg.

The Elbe-Lübeck Canal was created from parts of the historic Stecknitz-Delvenau Canal, which was built by the people of Lübeck between 1391 and 1398 along the rivers Stecknitz and Delvenau. Some old stretches and locks of the 'predecessor' can still be seen on the left and right of today's Elbe-Lübeck Canal. The Stecknitz-Delvenau Canal had 17 locks over a length of 97 km. It was the first real watershed canal in Europe. The rivers Stecknitz and Delvenau have largely merged into the Elbe-Lübeck Canal.

Kanaltrave

Highlight • River

The Canal Trave is a federal waterway and is therefore significantly wider and deeper than the Trave. It allows larger ships to call at Lübeck port.
