Traveled to Witzenhausen by train today and walked to Berlepsch Castle on the Werra-Burgen-Steig XH5. Beautiful paths through attractive deciduous forests and open fields with meadow orchards and beautiful distant views.
The E6 long-distance hiking trail (from Finland to Greece) runs parallel to the Burgensteig.
