4th stage of the wilderness trail, unfortunately I didn't record the other stages. Wonderful tour with lots of peace and quiet and few other visitors.

Kevin alone in the Eifel - Part 4.
Motto of the day: You can't rely on the Eifel weather!

We set off today at around 9 a.m.
Well... first a quick descent, not the direct route back to the trail, but around the corner, so I missed a few hundred meters of the trail here.. 😉

Today it's time to say goodbye again. But your feet are looking forward to a short break again... unfortunately the last stage has little to offer... very long sections through the forest with few views. So done !!!
The weather was still OK from time to time light rain showers but in between also sun.
It was a bit better with my knees today, but it was also much shorter.

Stage 4/4 done 🤗.

What can I say, this stage could have been saved, yes, you walk through beautiful countryside, but apart from the 1st and the last 3 km it is not a trail. A good hike over wide farm roads, where one or the other bench could stand more.

Today Friederike and I started our last stage of the wilderness trail. The hike from Heimbach to Zerkall is the shortest of the four stages but our longest, as we shortened the previous stages to our level. It leads through the north of the national park over a length of 17.8 km.
