On the way through the Kettelsberg you can even find isolated specimens of the yew (Taxus baccata), which is one of the rare conifers in the forest. A typical growth location for the yew is often in the shelter of a beech population.

I started at Friedwald. The first destination was the Ueffeln quarry.
