The Dragon Gorge is always great. In winter with the loud rushing water and from spring onwards it is incredibly green.

However, it is also very busy at weekends, so if possible, choose a weekday to visit.

We started early and had the gorge almost to ourselves. An absolute highlight, and not just for children - high rocks, water and plants create a unique backdrop.

Beautiful gorge, very dog-friendly, some very narrow paths through the rocks.

Speaking of fairy tales... and I didn't even make this one up.
Fantastic round pinned by Komoot in the parking lot after an afternoon Eisenach.
Not a living soul encountered except that one frog at the so-called Elven cave..
Breathtaking landscape features.. Fairytale places without the marzipan and silence.. Something we do lack in the Netherlands.
Autumn and the falling …

Unfortunately, half of the Drachenschlucht was closed for safety work. But the unexpected encounter with a real jungle more than made up for it.

Beautiful little tour. Unfortunately very crowded today on a bridge day, but that was to be expected. The Dragon Gorge is truly breathtakingly beautiful!

A difficult tour that, after the ascent, leads through the forest and then returns to the Sangerwiese. Good hiking boots, poles and sure-footedness are required. It …

We are visiting friends and made a small detour to Eisenach. The gorge is great, a visit is definitely worth it🤗even though it is relatively short. There are some hiking trails around it to extend the tour. There are enough parking spaces in the immediate vicinity

Today we went to the Drachenschlucht and Landgrafenschlucht near Eisenach.
But since I couldn't start until very late and the B19 from Wasungen was heavily used by trucks, I also lost valuable time.
The icicles were very bizarre, idiosyncratic and whimsical.
At 0 degrees you can say it was pleasantly warm.
It was narrow in the gorge because of the …
