The Ohm has its source in the Hohen Vogelsberg and almost 60 kilometers later it meets the still young Lahn here at the Cölber Eck. Not only two rivers, but …

The Wetschaft is a 29 km long, orographically left tributary of the Lahn in the Hessian districts of Waldeck-Frankenberg and Marburg-Biedenkopf. Here is the confluence with the Lahn.

Beautiful old bridge. The Lahn is very low here, making it a popular spot for children. There's also a lovely rest area.

View of the Lahn Valley

Highlight • Viewpoint

The Wichtelhäuser are a group of rocks above Brungershausen. There is a great view from the top of the rocks, especially now that there are no leaves on the trees.

Several closures and poor signage for diversions 🤪

What's going on with you, next to the famous Lahn cycle path?
Small quaint villages and cozy spots by the river that cannot be seen from the bike path. Turn somewhere and it's even more beautiful than before. The nice and wide spot can only be seen from the hiking trail.

Super nice bike ride with @Gerhard 🥾🎒🚴‍♂️🍁 from Unterrosphe to Buchenau /Carlshütte in beautiful sunshine 🌞🌞. As a reward, there was a large 🍨 ice cream sundae at the end in Sterzhausen 😁 . Unfortunately, I'm missing about 5 km that weren't recorded.

After today's tour from Kirchhain to Biedenkopf, our cycling trip ends after 401 kilometers. From there, we'll take the train back to Erndtebrück. The last leg wasn't particularly good in terms of the quality of the bike paths, and to top it all off, as is often the case, we had to take a very poorly signposted detour on the …

On the second day we drove about 100 km from Biedenkopf via Marburg and Gießen to Wetzlar. There we stayed overnight at the Wetzlarer Hof. The route is particularly beautiful on this stretch. Hardly any paths on busy roads and very varied.

Day 2
Today a little compensation for yesterday.
Great weather. Mostly flat and good cycling paths. A little gravel due to construction sites is bearable.
Tomorrow we'll have a day's break in Marburg. Then we'll carry on.
