Calmont via ferrata

Highlight • Climb

One of the longer ones on the Moselle, which is quite feasible if you have a little surefootedness. In summer it is very crowded at least on the weekends.

One of the most beautiful Moselsteige with challenging passages. Sturdy shoes, sure-footedness and good physical condition are the prerequisites for mastering the Moselsteig Trail on the "Todesangst" passage.

Nice via ferrata. Surefootedness and a head for heights are required on the entire trail. There are plenty of places to rest, take photos and get information.

Did this tour after a fear of heights course and it went great, so silky. It's a great track. The views there are very worthwhile!

A wonderful tour that requires sure-footedness and stamina.
(The dangling in Bremm served a lunch)

A very nice Moselle hike... extremely demanding, but no problem for well-practiced hikers.. was great fun and the view was absolutely amazing. Weather was also really good Top highly recommended

Alpine feeling on the Moselle. Very nice climb - NOT for dogs and children under 6 years - and NOT on weekends when the sun is shining - risk of congestion with long waiting times at the bottlenecks

Astrid was visiting, Alicia was with us, and Tanja had the idea...we'll show them the Calmont via ferrata🤣
In wonderful weather, we headed straight onto the via ferrata in Bremm, and the enthusiasm was immense. All the way to Edinger Eller, we had to climb ladders, use crampons, and negotiate many alpine sections. It was great fun.
We then stopped …

Great via ferrata, but challenging 🧗🏽‍♀️🥇🏆

Showing Translation

It was a really great hike that I can recommend to everyone.
Challenging but doable.

Showing Translation

Difficult tour with challenging terrain! Contains short "easy" climbing sections. Sturdy shoes are a must. Take enough food with you, especially drinks. There is a hut at the summit cross that serves food from April to October. A head for heights and surefootedness are a must for this tour! Very strenuous, but worth it. Alpine feeling on the Moselle.

Beautiful loop through the Calmont vineyard above the Moselle. :)
