She was married to Ludwig Jarochowski [born 1882 in Osorkow near Lodz, converted to Catholicism in 1911 in the Palatinate], for whom it was the second marriage (1st wife died of illness; he brought 3 children into the 2nd marriage).
The family lived first in Völkersweiler, later in Hauenstein.
During the NS reign of terror, the family was severely harassed and fled to the Polish homeland of Ludwig Jarochowski, who also had Polish citizenship.
Later, the entire family ended up in the Warsaw Ghetto (Barbara J. could have left the ghetto as a non-Jew), where Ludwig J. and 8 children were murdered.
Only Barbara Jarochowski and 2 children survived these atrocities.
In 1958, Barbara Jarochowski visited her Palatinate homeland again with the help of her relatives.
She died in Poland in 1971.
