On my last visit there were some Koniks there, and I also saw a sow leading her seven piglets there earlier.

Highlight • Bridge

The bridge is one of the many small highlights in the nature reserve. Amazingly, there are also several well-preserved resting places here.

October 3, 2021,Rundwanderung ab S Strausberg
Today's Sunday and public holiday used to make a hike around the Dammwiesen to Hennickendorf, past the Stienitzsee and the Gummiwiesen, back to Strausberg from the S-Bahn station in Strausberg. The paths were very easy to walk on and, like the numerous rest areas, were surprisingly clean. On the dam meadows we only saw a few horses and a few …

Very nice, entertaining group hike. Due to flooding we had to improvise.😁 Everything worked out great.
Thanks to Claudia for the organization!

Easy hike, apart from the flooded section, in hilly nature. The path has a great panoramic feel, as the terrain constantly slopes steeply to one side.

Halfway along the route, coffee and cake await you at the Lemke mill.

Slight climb up the Wachtelberg, past the Wachtelturm.

And then along the Stienitzsee over the Gummiwiesen with a great wooden footbridge.

We start the circular hike at Strausberg station. Directly behind the level crossing, the hiking trail begins, with small obstacles after a few meters. Since the actual path is no longer passable, we take the existing game trail. Once you have passed the somewhat dreary stretch parallel to the railway embankment, a surprising landscape begins with wonderful views of lowlands …

A lovely hike through the idyllic Lange Dammwiesen meadows led me to Lake Stienitz. Unfortunately, the Wachtelturm (Wail Tower) was closed today. After a bit of searching, I finally found the small lighthouse.

Despite various rain showers and almost no sunshine, a nice little tour through the countryside close to the city. The nature reserve "Unteres Annatal" is ideal for this.

I have to admit that I was very surprised by this hike. Especially about the slightly hilly terrain, which I just didn't expect there. You almost always walk a little higher around the dam meadows, which result in a real small valley. Looking at the large meadows is a great change.
