The monastery mill has not only been preserved, it is even still operational. It is the last of the many water and windmills in the region and is a listed building.

The Wutzsee is a beautiful little lake that you can easily walk around. The paths are easy to walk on and there are many benches on the way.

Beautiful lake (one of three in Lindow) that can be walked around in just over an hour. Many beautiful (private) jetties all around, but also open swimming areas. In the forest around it is pleasantly shady in summer.

August 5, 2024,240805 Ein Ausflug nach Lindow (Mark) - Rund um den Wutzsee
Today we took the train and bus to Lindow, just before Rheinsberg. From the market square we went to the nearby monastery ruins, then we hiked along beautiful paths around the Wutzsee, with several places to sit along the way. Finally we walked along the main street to the train station behind the Vielitzer Canal.

Today the hiking group went to the Wutzsee. Arrival from Berlin by train to Lindow (Mark) and back in the late afternoon. Walked around the lake in between. Very scenic and recommended.

Visiting dear friends... and again we could rely on the weather ⛈️🙄 and the planned hike literally fell into the water, but we still didn't let that stop us from taking a leisurely walk around the Wutzsee 🥳.

A very nice walking area for pedestrians and cyclists. At the lake you can almost always choose a path. Right on the water or further up in the forest. The path by the water is for sure-footed hikers, partly slippery, over thick roots or under trees lying across and sometimes very overgrown. But the path is always recognizable. Up in …

Nice little loop around the picturesque Wutzsee. Admittedly a little further arrival. Sometimes difficult stretches. Billions of mosquitoes! Still nice 😃. Finished with a good meal at the local Italian......

April weather! It snowed heavily during the night, everything is white, but thawing and muddy. Actually, we wanted to continue to Meseberg and around the Huwenowsee, but we decided to make do with the Wutzsee because some of the paths were slippery and full of mud. And hiking in the slush is pretty exhausting. We are not heroines who have …

In a local landscape and travel guide I read as follows: Many are like Andrew Hamilton: In a country where every traveler sees twenty new lakes every day, he very soon neglects to make himself acquainted with each one in a formal way .
That's reassuring, so I don't even try.

A really nice round. If you take the small paths, you should be able to walk well. Few people in autumn, easy to recommend🤩
