Unfortunately we couldn't walk the whole way because the small bridge over the Brend (Schillerhain) is still closed due to construction work at the Juze (flood protection).
We always followed the "N" signposts, but apparently there are a few deviations from the available ".gpx" file...

The name is absolutely justified; a trail in a class of its own! I was particularly surprised by the excellently preserved Salzburg, which is even still inhabited. The Luitpoldshöhe, the Kurpark, the confluence of the Saale and Brend rivers, the city center, beautiful paths... and... and...
...highly recommended!
