Entertaining rope-savvy passage of category A. Also doable for children. Sure-footedness and a head for heights required.

The path very board and easy to follow. The path is made with dirt but some rocks and woods had been prepared for hikers to go on

Brecherspitz Ridge

Highlight • Summit

The last section to the summit cross Brecherspitz is not without and goes on a narrow path along the top of the ridge. You absolutely have to be free from giddiness and sure-footed (sturdy mountain boots), as you have to climb a little bit from time to time. But: the adventure and the view of the three lakes (Spitzingsee, Schliersee and Tegernsee) is definitely worth it! Beautiful!

Brecherspitz

Highlight • Summit

Great tour to the Brecherspitz, but goes up the mountain from the alpine side. The tour from the car park at the mountain saddle is only for experienced hikers who also want to climb. There are about two to three places on the five meter high mountain face that have to be climbed without safety gear. The walls are grippy and easy to overcome in summer.

Brecherspitz West Ridge

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The Brecherspitz ridge is a wonderful mountain hiking experience. You should be free from giddiness and sure-footedness, but you don't need climbing skills. There are wonderful views of the Spitzing and Schliersee as well as the Almkessel, which surrounds the ridge.

Fast evening lap from the Spitzingsattel in 53 minutes over the east ridge to the summit of the Brecherspitze. Descent via normal route.

A wonderful sunrise hike on the Brecherspitz between Schliersee and Spitzingsee.

The tour starts super relaxed on a forest road that is converted into a toboggan run in winter. Then it goes on a steeper hiking trail, which at the end after a little climbing (secured with steel cable) takes us over the west ridge to the summit.

Nice quick hike, shingle clearance is a must

A relatively short but challenging crossing of the Brecherspitze from the Spitzingsattel. I've been wanting to try the east ridge for a while. This is a narrow, steep and unmarked (but easily recognizable) mountain path that also partially leads along the steep cliffs on the east side of the Brecherspitze. In the middle section there are three rocky outcrops, the …

Stopover at upper Firstalm. Semolina dumpling soup (not an affair 😅) very good, real homemade beef broth and dumplings with the right bite

Great adventurous and exciting east ridge ascent - provided you have a head for heights and are dry 👍🏻
