At the beginning of the hike there is a steady uphill climb to the Rosskopf near the wind turbines. The downhill path goes first to St. Wendelin and then to St. Ottilien. Then the most beautiful part of the route is on a forest path to the Hirzberg. Then on to Freiburg to the Schwabenturm.
