View of Lautenthal from the Otto-Ernst Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

The Otto-Ernst-Weg is a beautiful natural path and always offers heavenly views of the small climatic health resort of Lautenthal.
From here you can climb the Bielsteinkopf much more comfortably than directly via the steps behind the pavilion.

A nice round that had a few highlights to offer. The hiking trails in this region are very well developed, there was not a single tree across the path 😉 As a reward, we went to the Harzer Schnitzelkönig 😋

A nice round for an afternoon. Somehow I didn't pay attention to the altitude difference I was expecting for a week, so I was quite surprised at how steep it was sometimes 😄
But you were always rewarded with really great views! Unfortunately, some sections of the route are no longer beautiful. :( Very large areas where the trees have …

Easy tour.
Good forest roads.
There are three shelters along the route.

In Lautenthal, there is no way through at the end of Schützenstrasse. So you can save yourself the trouble of going back and forth. The residents have put up a sign there to say that this is a private path and not a hiking trail.
Other than that, it is a very nice tour overall, and you can also get …

The hut at the Grumbacher pond is often beautifully decorated, and this time there was a Christmas tree in the hut: how nice of the hut decorators.
The walk is always very beautiful, this time I was at the Mandolinenhütte beforehand.
Just a few more stamps...
