Magdalena Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

This is the most important bridge of the four medieval ones that cross the Arga as it passes through Pamplona.

It was built in the twelfth century and later renovated in the nineteenth century. It consists of five large slightly pointed arches, triangular tajamares and semicircular discharge arches on the supports. It is related to that of Puente la Reina. A transept, probably built in the sixteenth century, points the traveler at one end of the bridge to the entrance of the Camino de Santiago to the city. In it you can see the image of the Jacobean saint.

After crossing this Romanesque bridge, the pilgrim arrives at the Tejería Park and from there to the walls of Pamplona, under the old city of Navarrería, which is accessed by the Portal de Francia.

San Cristóbal Fort (Mount Ezkaba)

Highlight • Historical Site

On the outskirts of the center of Pamplona is the Mount of San Cristóbal, which was chosen to build the Fort of the same name at the end of the 19th century.
Not only the views will catch you but also the history of the fort, related to the Spanish Civil War and an event that has marked history known as "The Escape of San Cristóbal", when in 1938 there was a massive escape of prisoners that influenced country history.

Pamplona Bullring

Highlight • Monument

The bullring of Pamplona is the bullring projected in 1920 in the Second Ensanche of Pamplona to celebrate bullfights. It has a capacity of about 19,720 spectators, after the last reform to comply with safety regulations, which makes it the largest bullring in Navarra, and the third largest in the world in terms of capacity, after the bullrings in Mexico and Madrid. It is known worldwide for the bull runs of the San Fermín Fair, which take place annually between July 7 and 14. Currently it is also used for concerts and shows.
