Very nice place, with bike paths / lanes on both sides.

Swarzędzkie Lake - a lake on the Września Plain, located in the northern part of the city of Swarzędz. To the north, it borders on the Zieliniec estate in Poznań. The Cybina River flows through them. The lake is polluted with municipal sewage from Swarzędz, but for several years work has been carried out to clean it up. The siltation of the bottom reaches 2.50 m in some places.

Lake Malta

Highlight • Lake

Malta Lake, also known as the Malta Reservoir - an artificial water reservoir located in Poznań on the right bank of the Warta, created as a result of the damming of Cybina. It was put into operation in 1952. The reservoir covers a maximum area of 67.5 ha (depending on the degree of damming) and its length is about 2.2 km (5.6 km in circumference), which makes it the largest artificial water reservoir and the second largest lake in the city in general (after Lake Kierskie). The average depth is just over 3.13 m, and the maximum is about 5 m.

The entire lake can be circled on a promenade. Various leisure activities. But especially on the weekends the most heart, cadence and speed fetish race over the ways.

This was my second ride on the new tubeless tyres, and the first bit of real off-road/gravel. So far, so good - assuming you ignore the half day spent struggling to get the tyres on the rim. Hopefully a bit of riding will make them easier to work with in future.

Today solo, short test round. I knew I was going off-road and muddy. Tire pressure - rear 1.75, front 1.5. Comfort and traction off-road excellent, unfortunately on smooth and packed sections you could feel that the tire was muddy and restrictive, legs worked much more. There was no bottoming out on the roots, but I worked and cushioned with my …

A mega chill route where you can admire both the incredibly inviting bosom of nature and admire the relics of the past, e.g. the ruins of the Malta Gallery
