April 30, 2023,Via Vere de la Sierra bis Puerto Serano
Today on Lena's birthday we drove the Via Verde de la Sierra from Olvera, past the vulture station in Zaframagón via Coripe to Puerto Serrano. 72 km It went through beautiful green landscape. We didn't buy any ham in Puerto Serrano, but saw many grazing in the green meadows. At the end we had a delicious meal in the station …

From the former Olvera train station, you travel through a mountain range with a mighty rocky peak. Here, you can watch vultures circling.

An information center has been set up in the former Zaframagon train station where you can learn more about the vultures.

Hello Komootler, this tour cannot be topped. 75km, 30 tunnels and a 400 year old holm oak. According to the tunnel list, I cycled 12.9km in the tunnel. And then there are the many vultures in the air. In the information I learned that 400 vultures live in the area. A highly recommended tour that you shouldn't necessarily do in …

Olvera – 45 km (approx. 45 min) from Ronda – impresses even from afar with its postcard-perfect silhouette. The village lies in a gently rolling landscape dotted with olive groves at the foot of the Sierra Grazalema mountains. The region is known for its excellent olive oil. This is where the "Via Verde de la Sierra" begins.

Fantastic way over the Via verde, a car-free former railway line. Be sure to drive with good lighting, as you can hardly see oncoming traffic in the many tunnels. Caution because of zT. bumps especially in the tunnel. With that in mind, the trail is doable, mostly downhill and through beautiful countryside

Beautiful tour on a former railway line (Via Verde de la Sierra). 30! There are tunnels to cross and 8 viaducts to drive over. It doesn't matter that the way there and back went the same way, the perspective is different. And I could drive this great route again tomorrow.
